Should i buy 4gb or 250gb xbox

The 4GB is ready for controller-free experiences of Kinect. This console is super-quiet and sleek and also comes with a matching wireless controller. Watch this video on YouTube Understanding the Different Versions The GB version is one that improves on the original and has a sleeker design with better connectivity. It has a curved design which is in sleek black. This appearance is one that is considerably upgraded and is more energy efficient and is also quieter. The GB makes you forget all about issues that deal with hard drive save-space.

Active Oldest Votes. I own a GB Xbox It gives me the following advantages over a 4GB version. I do not need to insert a specific game disc to use them, they are available from the "Games library" menu.

There is barely place to store a single Xbox game on 4GB I'm able to download music videos, movies? You would only have place for a very limited amount of rich content on 4GB, my phone has more memory I'm able to store games from game discs on my HDD. Some games are designed to run better, or natively do, when "installed" on the HDD. Halo: Reach is an example of such a game. The game disc needs to be inserted and working when playing "installed" games. Space will NOT be sufficient, again.

Trivia: An Xbox game tends to be around 6GB. Improve this answer. Same with point 2. Point 3 is only partially valid. Some games require the HDD to install updates, even I'd you have big enough memory sticks attached. And some games only allow certain play modes if you have the HDD attached. Personally I'd buy the gb but it all depends on your needs. If you aren't using the as your main gaming platform, I think you can make do without the hard drive. If you end up hitting the 4GB limit, you can always plug in a USB drive or portable hard drive to the system. Just know that the external drive has to be formatted in FAT32 and thus, only be 32GB of space for you to save on the system. I do have to say though that XBLA is freaking awesome.

I think that the HDD is definitely worth it, and I was in the same boat as you - I never planned on getting downloadable games because for some reason I felt they were "inferior" somehow. After browsing through the XBLA's massive library though, there are some real gems in there that should not be overlooked.

Sucks that it's a hundred dollars more expensive.
